About

I am a Washington, D.C.-based painter focusing on ethereal portraiture and landscapes. Drawing inspiration from the people close to me and places, both visited and unexplored, my artwork investigates themes of identity, belonging, and consent through visual storytelling. My creative process represents an ongoing dialogue between the internal and the boundless, the present and the unforeseen.

My paintings are like intimate conversations. I invite you to journey with my subjects through real and dreamed-up worlds as they figure out who they are and where they belong. I carefully blend texture, technique, and the messiness of being human. I capture those in-between spaces between displacement and home. I use the dance of water and color to show the complicated beauty of what makes us human. Each brushstroke echoes someone's story. Every layer asks, Where do we find home when we've lost so much? What do we hold onto along the way?
